Feb. 1, 2024 - The one-millionth ZLX portable loudspeaker recently rolled off the production line, solidifying the series’ status as the most successful in Electro-Voice’s almost 100-year history. Designed to deliver professional audio performance at an accessible price point, ZLX launched at the NAMM Show back in 2013 and immediately made an impact in the industry.

This week sees ZLX make a triumphant return to NAMM in Anaheim to mark this momentous occasion, and the Americas-based Electro-Voice team are taking the in-person opportunity to present regional dealers with platinum awards – a token of appreciation for their integral role in ZLX’s iconic success. Guests in the Electro-Voice demo room can also experience EV’s latest offering, the EVERSE 12 battery-powered loudspeaker, launching at the show. Models from the broader Electro-Voice portable sound portfolio are also being showcased – including ZLX. The brand hinted at more major product introductions coming soon, further building on the extraordinary momentum generated by market-leaders like ZLX, EVOLVE and EVERSE. Given ZLX’s global appeal, the celebrations extend far beyond the NAMM Show. Members of Bosch’s executive board of management traveled to Electro-Voice’s ZLX production facility to witness the historic one-millionth speaker being made, adding their signatures to five ZLX boxes, along with members of the production team. These five ZLXs are now traveling to Electro-Voice sites around the world, gathering additional signatures from the various teams behind the product’s remarkable journey, to signify what is a truly international success story – one that has been created by passionate ZLX users around the world, and one that is set to go from strength to strength in 2024.
